Datawind has launched two versions of pocket friendly Tablets for Indian Consumers. The configuration of the tablet is seven-inch touch screen, 256 MB RAM, ARM 11 processor with the Android 2.2 OS and has two USB port and also delivers HD-quality video.

Student Version is named as Aakash whereas for others it is named as Ubislate7.

This is a part of India's National Mission for Education, Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Roughly around 504 universities and 25,000 colleges would be the recipients of these laptops in India.

Governments plan to spread literacy via technical means.

How to creat Post Summaries before showing complete Post?

Expandable Post Summaries is the method by which each blog post consists of a short paragraph of introduction followed by a 'Read More' link. This enables the reader to get a small introduction to each post on the main page. He can then click the Read More link if he gets sufficiently interested…….. Many bloggers have reported confusion when they tried to follow the instructions on the official blogger help page for this hence I have tried to put the help in more easy to follow terms here. There are basically three steps to follow if you want to implement expandable post summaries in the new layouts template.

CONDITIONAL CSS

The first step is to put the code for the conditional css. This changes how posts display on different pages. To do this login to Dashboard and click on Layout for your blog. Then click on Edit HTML and first backup your template by using the Download Full Template link. Then scroll down till you come to </head> tag and add the following code immediately above it :

Save Template.

IMPORTANT NOTE in the layouts template there is a ]]></b:skin> tag just above the </head> tag. Add the above code so that it lies between these two tags. What we did here was to define a class called "fullpost" that will appear only on post pages (permalinks).

"READ MORE" LINKS

The second step is to add the Read More links which will appear after the paragraph summaries. To do this put a check in the Expand Widgets Template checkbox at the top of the Edit Template text box. This is in the Edit Html subtab of Template tab. Then scroll down in the code till you come to the Blog Posts Widget code where locate this line of code :

Save Template. This link will only appear on the main page and archive pages, and it will redirect your reader to the post page containing the full text of your post.

POST MODIFICATIONS

The last step is to modify the post template so that each post when created will show you where to place your summary paragraph and where to place the rest of the post. To do this go to Settings——>Formatting and scroll down to the end of the page to the box for the Post Template. Copy and Paste the following lines there :

Here is the beginning of my post. <span class="fullpost">And here is the rest of it.</span>

Save Settings. When you click on Create Post and then Edit Html tab of Post Editor you will see the following:

Replace the line "Here is the beginning of my post." (Type your summary here) with your summary paragraph. Then replace the line "And here is the rest of it." (Type rest of the post here.) with the rest of your post. Do not delete the other lines <span class="fullpost"> and </span>. Also add your summary paragraph above both the lines and your rest of the post between the lines. Then click Publish to publish post.

The standard operating system commands to obtain the host ID of the computer depending upon the operating system you are using are given below:-

Micro waved water - a MUST readA 26-year old decided to have a cup of coffee. He took a cup of water and put it in the microwave to heat it up (something thathe had done numerous times before). I am not sure how long he set the timer for, but he told me he wanted to bring the water to a boil. When the timershut the oven off, he removed the cup from the oven. As he looked into the cup, he noted that the water was not boiling, but instantly the water inthe cup "blew up" into his face. The cup remained intact until he threw it out of his hand but all the water had flown out into his face due tothe build up of energy. His whole face is blistered and he has 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face, which may leave scarring. He also may havelost partial sight in his left eye. While at the hospital, the doctor who was attending to him stated that this is fairly common occurrence and water(alone) should never be heated in a microwave oven. If water is heated in this manner, something should be placed in the cup to diffuse theenergy such as: a wooden stir stick, tea bag, etc. It is however a much safer choice to boil the water in a teakettle.

They can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. The superheatedliquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or tea bag is put into it. To prevent this from happening andcausing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds beforemoving it or adding anything into it.

Difference between Dual core & Core 2 Duo

Core 2 Duo is a brand name by Intel - Dual-Core is a generic description meaning two separate physical cores in one chip package.

Dual core is simply a generic term referring to any processor package with two physical CPUs in one. The Pentium D, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and Athlon X2 are all current CPUs that have dual cores in one package.

The Pentium D is simply two Pentium 4 Prescott cpus inefficiently paired together and ran as dual core. The Core Duo is Intel's first generation dual core processor based upon the Pentium M (a Pentium III-4 hybrid) made mostly for laptops (though a few motherboard manufacturers have released desktop boards supporting the Core Duo CPU), and is much more efficiently than Pentium D. The Core 2 Duo is Intel's second generation (hence, Core 2) processor made for desktops and laptops designed from the ground up to be fast while not consuming nearly as much power as previous CPUs. Note - Intel has dropped the Pentium name in favor of the Core architecture as Intel is restructuring and refocusing it's efforts to become number one again (and are doing a fine job, might I add). The AMD Athlon X2 CPUs have two revisions, the first one is essentially very similiar to the Pentium Ds in that they are simply two Athlon 64 chips fused together, making power requirements quite steep (around 89 watts). The second revision is made more efficiently, like the Core Duos, with much less power consumption (around 65 watts).

Universal Serial Bus (USB): Plans to release USB 3.0

Intel and others plan to release a new version of the Universal Serial Bus(USB) technology in the first half of 2008. USB 3.0 is aiming for 10 times the bandwidth of current USB2.0 solutions, or approximately 5Gbps. It will make data transfer rates more than 10 times as fast by adding fiber-optic links alongside the traditional copper wires." "The current USB 2.0 version has a top data-transfer rate of 480 megabits per second, so a tenfold increase would be 4.8 gigabits per second." This should make USB hard drives easier and faster to use." Since this requires fiber optic cabling, USB 3.0 will add a length of optical data cable to the mix.
